Katherine Muir Miller lives and works independantly in her Ottawa studio. Her strong connection to nature rings true with the energy conveyed in her painting.
Inspired by friends and family, landscape and colour, her collection showcases landscapes rarely seen by anyone but Canadian wilderness canoeists from the Arctic Ocean of the Northwest Territories, to the lakes and roaring falls of Temagami, to the many regions of Québec including the Saguenay and James Bay.
To quote the artist: "It is all about the story behind the painting. That is what inspires me".
Her work is available here, as well as current exhibitions at the Santini Art Gallery and Manotick Art Gallery in Ottawa.
